Can’t??

Why is the word can’t in our vocabulary? The word can’t is like the curse of words. Back in New York, as I always went to my baseball trainer during the winter, there’s a sign that says, “never say can’t.” My reason why that sign is there is to let the baseball players in the training facility never say the word can’t. My trainer always told me, ” never say you can’t do something unless you’ve tried it” This is true. A lot of people always say I can’t do something but the question they get in return is, have you tried doing it? My father always tells me never but the word cant in front of my dreams, because then my dreams won’t come true. I have found inner talents that I never thought I had. The way I found those inner talents was by trying and not saying the word can’t. This word is not very helpful to most people. Just try doing something and if you can’t do it, then you can say i can’t do that. Never say I can’t do something unless you have tried it.

This is a really good post. I have always been told by my all-star coach that cant is not a word when I am breathing, talking, playing, or sleeping baseball. I always go 150 % on the baseball feild. When cant is in your vocabulary that is very difficult to acomplish.

Can’t is probably one of the stupidest words I can think of. If you SAY, THINK, or BELIEVE you cant, than believe me, you really can’t. ‘Can’t’ is merely a state of mind. What drew said, “When cant is in your vocabulary that is very difficult to acomplish.” He is very right. Nothing can be achieved with the taste of ‘can’t’ lingering on your tongue. Whether on the playing field/court, on stage, or in class, Can’t should never be used.

This is a very good post. the word cant is a very strong word. Most of the time it stops people from duings that they have never tried. It stops people from going one hundred percent to see if they can or Cant do something. Cant is a word that stops you from going all you have in you. So cant is a word that will just slow you down.

That was an extremely deep and well thought out post. And as much as I hate having to ruin the intelligence of it all, I’m going to give a story of something I CAN’T do. The Cinnamon Challenge. The Cinnamon Challenge is as simple as swallowing a tablespoon of cinnamon. But it’s not simple at all. It’s impossible. I know this is completely random, but I’m checking out the blog again and “can’t” reminds me of that. I am, again, sorry for ruining this great thought stream, but I’d like to see you all attempt The Cinnamon Challenge, and then watch as you agree that it is, in fact impossible, by choking out clouds of cinnamon all over yourselves. On that lovely note, I bid you all a good day.

Now, aside from the billowing cloud of cinnamon, I would argue that the word can’t is not a word we want to use to determine our place in life. Furthermore, by selling ourselves short we are not truly experiencing what the world has to offer. In that vain, why say can’t when you can say can?

I believe that we sell yourselves short because then we are ready for defeat. The blow will be cushioned if we already think we will fail and if you succeed you are happier. It goes with having a low self-esteem, which in the world today, is not that uncommon. Some people never realize their full potential because they never try. It is sad to see with other people and also looking in the mirror. Many are hypocrytes and sell themselves short and then scold others who do it also. Personally, I do not think a self-esteem seminar will help. I think it is a personal discovery that one has to make in order to discover their abilities.
