Hi, I am Todd Wass. I teach 7th grade World Geography and 8th grade American History. Also, I am the Advisor for Middle School Student Government, Middle School Baseball and Soccer Coach, 7th grade class sponsor, and run the Outdoor Program for the middle school.

I graduated from The University of the South, Sewanee with a B.A. in American Studies. I am currently working on my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at The Pennsylvania State University. I am a WFR, Wilderness First Responder. Also, I am also a graduate of NOLS, National Outdoor Leadership School, where I took the Rocky Mountain Outdoor Educator Course in the summer of 2006.

My academic interests include the social and cultural history of America; specifically popular culture, world geography, professional mentoring of young teachers, MSR (Map Speed Relays), PSR (Presidential Speed Relays), and blogging. As for my personal interests, I enjoy the outdoors (climbing, backpacking, hiking, whitewater rafting, cartography, frisbee golf…), NPR, triathlons, running in the rain, cycling, teaching, intellectual conversations, This American Life, The Dirtbag Diaries, google reader, a good book, and Scrabble (my secret obsession).
